Thing 5 - Flickr Fun
I like "Spell with Flikr" and "Trading Cards". Students could use them for vocabulary words, etc.
Thing 3 - Lifelong Learning, 7.5 habits
7.5 Habits
The easiest of the 7.5 habits for me is 7.5 - Play and #2 - Accepting Responsibility. I love to play and learn. I've always love to learn via games. It's not just the competition piece (although that plays a part). I like to figure out puzzles and challenges. I love to help students figure things out, too.
The hardest habit for me would most likely be #6 - Use Technology to Your Advantage. That's one reason that I'm taking this class. It will push me to use technology more. That's how I hope to get better at #6.

23 Things - #2 - part 2
My initial thought about Web 2.0 is that it's a great way to conduct business and to educate students. It's overwhelming, but I think this class will help me to sort through all that is there. The greatest parts are the interactive qualities, the online capabilities (storage, access, information, etc.), and the unlimited ways to be creative.
I believe that we will continue to see the role of Web 2.0 increase in 21st Century teaching and learning. Rather than investing tons of money into textbooks that become outdated quickly, we can access our information online. Also, students seem very motivated to use technology, so it helps in that way. Another thing, is that students can learn at their own pace and access assignments online. I think the ways to use this in education are limitless. This encourages us to be creative.

23 Things - Thing #2
What makes a good blog? It seems like the best ones have pleasing layouts, easy-to-access info., informative, could be entertaining, etc. Also, individuals select blogs based on how each blog appeals to them personally. There are a lot of choices out there.
How do blogs enhance existing web sites? The best part about blogs is that they are interactive. Communication occurs in both directions. Blogs are wide-open for creative expression. They are not static.
Are blogs an easier way for people to self-publish? I think so. You can get information out onto the web in a short amount of time. I guess if I can do it, than anyone can. You don't have to pay a fee or know html code.

23 Things – The First Thing
I hope to learn how to use internet tools more effectively. I like to learn new things. This is a great way to do that.
